No Gas at Sehri and Iftari? SSGC Announces 10% Increases in Gas Pressure

by Brands Kahani 04 Mar 2025 0 Comments

People in Pakistan are struggling with severe gas shortages during the important mealtimes of Sehri and Iftar in the holy month of Ramadan. To address this issue, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has given strict orders to ensure an uninterrupted gas supply during these crucial hours for those who are fasting.

The Prime Minister recently held an emergency meeting with officials from the Sui gas companies to find quick and effective solutions to the problem. During the meeting, they discussed ways to improve the gas pressure, especially during fasting hours when families prepare meals before dawn and break their fast in the evening.

In response, the Sui Southern Gas Company announced some immediate steps to help ease the situation. They have decided to increase the gas pressure by 10%, which should help more households receive a stable gas supply. Additionally, in areas that are farther away and usually experience delays, the gas supply will now start 30 to 45 minutes earlier than before. This change aims to give everyone enough time to cook meals for Sehri and Iftar without running into problems.

To make sure the situation is closely monitored, special control rooms have been set up. These control rooms will provide real-time updates and allow officials to keep a constant eye on the gas supply. They will also handle complaints quickly, offering a way for people to report any issues they face with gas shortages.

Officials have promised to take swift action to resolve any problems that arise. They will also prepare daily reports to keep track of the gas supply situation. These reports will help ensure that the gas flow remains steady and that any disruptions are immediately addressed.

This proactive approach by the government aims to provide relief to fasting families during Ramadan. The measures taken are expected to make a real difference, helping people prepare meals without the added stress of low gas pressure or interruptions.
